Our days are full, fun, and I'm learning SO much. Our teacher Carol Leigh and her husband Chris create an incredibly enjoyable learning experience. My fellow students are interesting, talented and great people to be around.

I love learning. I don't like that I have to sleep (there is so much I want to do once I get back to my room!). But I do need to go to bed, so that's it from me. Except, I miss you Ray.











I was so surprised with the good feedback I got on my photos. Everyone applauded after my review! I was told my weakest photos were the orange flowers and the wheel. I agree.

Monday night.

It was Sandi's birthday so she took me out to dinner at the Daily Grill last night. We finished dinner with time to kill before the meeting so we strolled Paseo and checked out the new Gucci store. Mistake.
I don't know why I'm spending tons of money with the market the way it is. But as LR can vouch for my spending, I am. The sales lady at Gucci informed me the bag I bought for far too much money, is not a fanny pack....it is a belt purse! So now I have a pretty new belt purse for all the clothes I bought with Katya last Saturday.

At the meeting following dinner, Katie was doing her greeter commitment and I asked her to come outside so I could take a photo of her. Wow, does she look smashing or what!

Last few days in LA.

I drove in to LA last Thursday and stayed at Tina's until I drove home today.
Hannah got married on Friday and can you believe I forgot to bring my camera. I also forgot that I could have taken a photo of the beautiful bride with my cell phone. I wasn't thinking too clearly though. I almost missed the wedding as traffic was stopped everywhere do to the train wreck 1 mile from the church in Chatsworth. Thank goodness the wedding was postponed one hour. I was so glad I didn't miss it.

The 2nd Annual Slumber Party!

Sixteen of us spent from noon Saturday to noon Sunday together! It was a wonderful gathering and I thank all the ladies who made this such a wonderful 24 hour celebration. I just wish I'd felt better.


The photos are much better than they appear. Next year I WILL know how to show the movie video and a TV showing of these still photos.

Last Thursday wasn't fun.

Before we went on vacation in Mammoth, I went to the dermatologist's office to have 4 new spots checked for cancer. I got a call with the results while in Mammoth that the two spots that had been biopsied were squamish cell carcinoma.

Last Thursday I had two different surgery appointments. I took photos of myself, I guess as a distraction. After asking the doctor if I could take a photo while he was doing surgery, he thought a moment and said, "Ok. I've never had anyone ask me that before."

The swelling on my upper lip is finally going down. One of the three sets of stitches on my leg come out Thursday.
